Battery A , 2nd Battalion, 300th Field Artillery Regiment

Gillette Wyo.

Equipment:
M198 howitzers, 5 ton trucks, 2.5 ton trucks and humvees.

Mission:
Provide general support field artillery fires under the direction of the 115th Field Artillery Brigade and/or the First (US) Corps, by deploying in support of contingency operations in designated theaters of action. To fully support state emergency operations.

Background:
Federally recognized in 1888 as the Wyoming National Guard, 1st Regiment. Redesignated as the 2-300th in 1996 .
Deployed in the war with Spain, World War I, World War II and the Korean War.
Recognized with presidential citation streamers for battles in Hongchon, and Kumsong and a meritorious commendation streamer for its actions in Korea in 1952 and 1953.
